The licensing programme for Power Rangers Samurai continues to grow - with Parragon becoming the latest licensee to sign up.

A range of books will be released in the US, following in the UK from February 2012. The collection will include colour, sticker and activity books, novelty titles, 3D storybooks and treasuries, as well as annuals for the UK market.

Power Rangers Samurai premiered on Nickelodeon in the US in February and in the UK in May. Bandai's toy line is being readied for launch this month, with a range of Samurai-themed consumer products following.

"Power Rangers is a fantastic property - it has consistently demonstrated that the storylines and characters can translate from TV to publishing and its rich heritage, combined with new storylines, make it the perfect boys' brand," said Paul Gregory, publishing director at Parragon Books.

Susan Bolsover, European category director for publishing at CPLG, added: "We are delighted to be partnering with Parragon on this fantastic brand."
