Annuals publisher Pedigree Books has added Adastra Creative's Grandpa in my Pocket brand to its line-up.

The deal will see the firm create specialist publishing formats for launch in spring 2011. It was brokered by Adastra's agent, Brandzoo.

"We're delighted to partner Adastra with this new signing," said Geoff Reynolds, publishing director at Pedigree Books. "Grandpa in my Pocket's TV ratings speak for themselves and we look forward to mirroring such success with some excellent book sales."

Jenny Johnstone, MD at Brandzoo, added: "Pedigree has an excellent track record with some of the best entertainment properties currently in its portfolio."

Grandpa in my Pocket launched on Cbeebies in February 2009 and has recorded viewing figures of up to 650,000 an episode. A third series and a Christmas special are currently in production.
