Penguin Children's Books has won the Children's Publisher of the Year accolade at the Bookseller Book Industry Awards.
Judges cited Penguin regaining the number one children's publisher position, and the fact that its sales were up 18 per cent in value (in a market which fell by three per cent) as just two of the reasons for the win.
The company was also commended for embracing digital brands such as Moshi Monsters, as well as creating a range of successful children's apps.
"It is an honour and a privilege to receive this award," said Francesca Dow, MD of Penguin Children's Books. "This award is a testament to the talents and commercial drive we have in the team. But, of course, the award is also for all of our authors and creative partners who are so key to our success."
