Peppa Pig picks up new partners across France

Entertainment One secures a raft of new partners, bringing its total to over 20 for the territory.

Entertainment One has secured a raft of new French partners for its popular pre-school property, Peppa Pig.

The popular pork dynasty made its debut in the territory this year, where master toy partner Giochi Preziosi France launched its first collection of Peppa Pig toys in the market.

Following the appointment of Hachette to oversee publishing, Universal with home entertainment and Sun City for textiles and accessories, eOne’s French licensing agent Francetv Distribution has added a host of new licensees, with extensions across accessories, partyware, homewares and confectionary.

Diset will also develop a range of board games, Educa Borras with educational games, CIJEP with plush toys, Ravensburger for puzzles and Comansi for PVC figures.

Meanwhile, Taldec will develop electronic games, Tap Ball with inflatables, Milan with magazines, Panini for collectable stickers and albums, Royer with shoes and Calego for luggage.

Bringing the total number of licensees to 20, the line-up is completed with the appointment of Zeta for confectionery, STOR for homewares, Gemma for party goods and Worlds Apart for homewares.

Further deals for additional products and categories ncluding bath sets, arts and crafts and beauty products are currently being finalized.

Ami Dieckman, head of international licensing at Entertainment One, said: “We have seen a tremendous response from licensees since launching Peppa at Kazachok earlier this year and the strong viewing figures are a testament to its growing popularity in the region.

“We look forward to bringing the brand to the French market with a robust line up of players.”
