Nickelodeon UK has appointed Clare Piggott as its new VP of consumer products.
Piggot makes the move from Mattel Brands Consumer Products where she held the role of senior country manager UK. She will take over from Trudi Hayward, who has left Nickelodeon to work as a consultant.
“I have long admired the work that Nickelodeon have been doing; they are synonymous with quality broadcasting which lends itself so well to creative licensing programmes,” Piggot commented. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue maximising the opportunities that Nickelodeon’s exceptional properties represent.”
Howard Litton, MD of Nickelodeon UK, added: “Clare’s wealth of experience in consumer products and her profile in the licensing industry as a whole makes her a valuable addition to the Nickelodeon team. I am sure this will be reflected in the development of our licensing programme.”
The firm’s consumer products business includes the number one pre-school property for girls Dora the Explorer, as well as the likes of SpongeBob Squarepants and Go Diego Go.
