With the fourth installment in the film franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, due to hit cinemas in May, The Walt Disney Company has revealed a selection of consumer products to back it up.

At a pirate-themed preview event in New York, Flair's toy assortment and the new Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game and construction toys were unveiled before an invitation-only crowd of toy industry execs.

Disney and Flair also presented actor Ian McShane, who plays Blackbeard in the film, with a one of a kind 12-inch action figure inspired by the toy line.

"Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean has something for people all ages, from action packed films for the whole family to enjoy, to toys and games which bring the characters and scenes from the big screen into the home for kids playtime," said Andrea Tartaglia, VP, franchise marketing, Europe at The Walt Disney Company. "With Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, fans, kids and collectors are in for a treat."

Highlights from the toy line include four-inch Legend pack figures, the Queen Anne's Revenge play-set and strategy-based board games from Flair, plus nine play-sets from Lego, including a buildable version of the Revenge and the Whitecap Bay play-set.
