Plus Licens extends DreamWorks deal

Plus Licens has expanded its agreement with DreamWorks Animation to cover the merchandising, publishing and promotional rights for a brace of upcoming films.

The firm has added Madagascar 3 and Rise of the Guardians in Russia/CIS to its portfolio.

"Plus Licens has been working with DreamWorks Animation for more than ten years and has through the years had fantastic success, especially in our Russian market," explained Paul Tush, MD of Plus Licens Russia. "Only recently, Shrek Forever After recorded the number one opening of all time in Russia and went on to become the biggest animated film of all time in Russia and Ukraine, as well as the second highest grossing film of all time in both territories.

"Most recently, Kung Fu Panda 2 opened in Russia with an incredible opening weekend of $15 million.

"We are also happy and proud to continue to work with the Madagascar franchise, as well as the new and promising feature Rise of the Guardians."

Madagascar 3 is due to open on June 7th 2012, while Rise of the Guardians is planned for release on November 21st 2012.
