Plus Licens has established an office in Tokyo, joining its existing outfits in Stockholm, Warsaw, Moscow, Budapest, Prague, Kiev, Bucharest and Paris.
The company originally focused on Nordic and Eastern European representations, but during the last five years has taken on properties on a European or worldwide basis. These broader representations have to a large extent been coupled to the development of style guides and artwork programmes, literary guides and publishing programmes, in addition to taking on responsibilities for legal registration and protection.
Like the Paris office, Plus Licens & Design Tokyo will work on building the licensing programmes for the properties Plus Licens represents on a worldwide basis. It will also serve as a scout and facilitator when it comes to a number of Japanese brands that the firm is representing in Europe and the Americas.
The office will be headed by Sachiko Imaizumi, who has previously worked for companies including United Media and Copyrights Asia.
