Pocket.watch has appointed a new licensing agent for the UK, Eire, Australia and New Zealand in the form of the leading licensing company Centa IP.

Pocket.watch has soared to success in the US with the launch of the Ryan's World franchise, an IP based on the US YouTube star and toy unboxing personality, Ryan.

The UK move arrives as Pocket.watch observes that 'the world has stepped up to take notice of and clamouring for these programmes to enter new markets.'

“With the massive success in the U.S. market, pocket.watch recognised the need to extend the line globally so that kids around the world can take part in the fun that is Ryan’s World,” said Stone Newman, CRO of pocket.watch.

“We are proud to have Centa IP as a partner in our international efforts for Ryan’s World and the pocket.watch portfolio.”

While it is still early days, Centa has already brought on board numerous top tier partners on behalf of pocket.watch. Val Fry (VP, Centa UK) has already signed Vivid for toys, Cooneen for underwear and nightwear and Ultimate Source for games and proprietary products.

The Centa ANZ team have secured HeadStart for toys in Australia and Planet Fun in New Zealand; Caprice and Hot Springs for apparel, Showtime Attractions for costume characters, Five Mile for publishing and Bensons for carnival.

“We are beyond thrilled to be working with Stone and the pocket.watch team on their portfolio, and on Ryan’s World,” said Gail Mitchell, CEO of Centa IP.

“This is where kids are playing, and we are looking forward to seeing the incredible US results replicated in our international markets."

The initial ranges of Ryan’s World will debut just in time for Christmas at retailers throughout the territories, with Big W leading the toy charge in Australia.
