Pocoyo expands in Latin America

Zinkia appoints new agents and signs a new broadcast deal in the region.

New third party agent agreements include a multi-territory deal with IMC International Merchandising Consultants for Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay; BLG Brand and Licensing Group for Brazil; Doce andFriends for Chile; and Andeli in Peru.

The agents join Telvisa Consumer Products which represents the brand in Mexico.

Pocoyo has almost 50 licensees in Latin America, offering a diverse range of merchandise in the territory.

In broadcasting Zinkia has signed a free-to-air agreement with Televideo (Albavisión) for Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Paraguay and Argentina. Televideo joins Canal 13 Chile, Canal in Columbia, Ecuador TV, Canal 5 in Mexico and Tves in Venezuela. 

The television series also currently airs throughout Latin America on Discovery Kids. Pocoyo has achieved ratings of more than 70 per cent within the show’s target pre-school audience.
