Pocoyo inks Ty?s Toy Box deal

Granada Ventures has sealed a deal with online toy store Ty?s Toy Box which will see product from pre-school hit Pocoyo available from November.

Ty’s Toy Box will also be selling Pocoyo items throughout its multichannel sales network, including its store on Amazon.com. The site, which caters for customers in the US and Canada, will also feature a special Pocoyo button in the ‘hot brands’ section of the Ty’s Toy Box home page for a limited time, post launch.

“We look forward to building the product offerings over the coming months and to establishing Pocoyo as a pre-eminent pre-school brand for English speaking and Spanish speaking consumers in North America,” said Paula Miller, VP of licensing at Granada Ventures USA.

Ty Simpson, founder and president of Ty’s Toy Box, added: “Pocoyo is exactly the type of emerging brand we seek to launch at Ty’s Toy Box, whimsical and fun with universal appeal. It’s visually imaginative, entertainingly educational and promotes positive learning and values.”

Pocoyo is currently airing in Spanish on Discover En Espanol and makes its English language debut on PBS in January.
