The Pokémon Company International and children’s broadcaster CITV have launched a nationwide competition that will see one fan win the chance to create a 30-second trailer to promote the new series of Pokémon on the channel.
The competition launched earlier this month and is open to all children ages 8 to 12, who must have permission from a parent or guardian. Entries are accepted until August 21st.
The successful entrant will visit the CITV studios at Media City UK in Salford and work with the experts in CITV’s promo team to create trailer to promote Pokémon Series 18, hitting CITV in November.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with CITV to offer this once-in-a lifetime opportunity for a young fan to become part of the creative team and put their own stamp on the latest promotional trailer for Pokémon Series 18, which will be seen multiple times by CITV viewers in the run-up to transmission," said Anthony Cornish, consumer marketing director at The Pokémon Company International.
Entry for the competition is via a downloadable form from the CITV website. Entrants are asked to provide a poster advertising Pokémon to their friends, a paragraph summing up why they love Pokémon, and a preferred music style, choosing from three generic tracks.
