Postman Pat's new SDS live theatre tour - A Very Royal Mission - has begun its run, with brand owner Classic Media reporting strong ticket sales.
The Premier Stage Productions show will be on the road in the UK until November. It kicked off with four performances at Epsom Playhouse last weekend.
"We're thrilled with the show," said Mat Way, VP of global live entertainment at Classic Media. "The ticket sales for the first month have exceeded expectations and we anticipate reporting high attendances across the first ten venues in February and beyond.
"Audience reaction to Saturday's opening show was fantastic - there are lots of surprises throughout which keep the children and parents engaged right to the heroic finale. With high production values and plenty of audience interaction, this is set to be an outstanding tour."

Meanwhile, toy partner Character Options has begun its 2010 TV ad campaign for Postman Pat SDS across Five, GMTV, CITV, Turner, Sky and Pop. For the full year, the firm has scheduled a campaign boasting 725 TVRs to support its toy lines in 2010.
