MarVista Entertainment has secured a deal with Lagardére Active for it to acquire the exclusive pay and free TV rights to 40 episodes of Power Rangers Samurai.

The show will be airing on the Canal J and Gulli kids' channels in France. The new Samurai theme will broadcast on Canal J from April, and on free digital terrestrial channel Gulli later on in the year.

"We are excited to have signed this important agreement with Lagardére Active to introduce Power Rangers Samurai to viewers across France," said Fernando Szew, CEO of MarVista Entertainment. "Power Rangers has always been enormously popular in the French territory and we are delighted that the series will be debuting this coming April on Canal J to existing and new fans of the franchise."

Power Rangers Samurai debuted in the US on Nickelodeon back in February, ranking at number one with boys aged two to 11 and boys aged six to 11 in the time period across all TV.
