PSG signs Early Bird Licensing for Nordic market

Parisienne football club builds presence in North Europe and celebrates first Ligue 1 title in 19 years.

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) has appointed Early Bird Licensing to manage its brand in the Nordic market.

Starring internationally renowned players such as David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, the club has expressed its excitement to expand its presence to Northern European territories.

Fabien Allegre of Paris Saint Germain Merchandising said: "It is great for us to secure presence of our brand also in Northern Europe, it is a natural step in our international development."

Early Bird Licensing has already secured a number of licensing deals and its portfolio includes apparel, home and textiles, publishing, toys, board games, stationary and gifts and promotions and events.

Marie-Louise Bengtsson, partner at Early Bird Licensing, said: "We are happy to work with Paris Saint Germain. In addition to being a football club with internationally strong players, it is also an exciting and fast growing sport and lifestyle brand.

"It has a strong unique connection to the iconic and timeless city of Paris and fashion. The brand is interesting also outside the core football target group."

The Parisienne club recently ended its 19-year wait for its third Ligue 1 title, as it triumphed over Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday, May 12th.

The club is currently planning a visit to Sweden in July to take part in numerous events and friendly games against local teams.
