Comic strip character Dilbert - who embodies white collar office micromanagement - turns 20 this year, and seems to be thriving in the current economic climate.
In February, the strip's dedicated website - and home to author Scott Adams' blog - received 1.5 million unique visitors and was one of the busiest months in the site's history.
As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations, Dilbert 2.0: 20 Years of Dilbert is being released. The 576 page volume includes over 2,000 Dilbert cartoons (some of which have never been published before) and is annotated with commentary and reflections by Adams. It also includes a DVD including all Dilbert cartoons from 1989 through to 2008, with a link enabling readers to download future Dilbert cartoons.
"This is the first time I've told the full story of how I went from cubicle dweller to cartoonist," said Adams. "If you're curious about how the unexpected happens, my story is a great example."
