The published Humf range will include four story books, two touch and feel books, a soundboard book and an annual.
Scheduled for August, the annual is expected to retail at £9.99, with the rest of the range due to land in September. The storybooks will sell for around £4.99 and the soundboard book for £7.99.
Igloo will be “heavily promoting” the line via social media on Facebook and Twitter and will cross-promote on eOne’s official Humf website as well as on DVD packaging.
Aurora World will produce a line of Humf plush toys to coincide with the storybook launch in September.
The star of a BAFTA nominated series, Humf is a furry three year-old creature who learns about the world around him in each episode. Aimed at pre-schoolers, the animated show currently airs on NickJr.
Andrew Carley, head of licensing at Entertainment One said: “The launch of Humf’s first published range represents a significant landmark in the brand’s licensing programme and we’re extremely pleased with the books that Igloo has produced.”
Igloo’s sales director Briony Britten said: “The interest we have had when presenting Humf to customers has been phenomenal and we are thrilled that our mass market customers are keen to get behind Humf and support the brand.
"We are confident that our launch of Humf products in September will be a massive success and are excited about the opportunities to expand our range of products further.”
