PUBLISHING MONTH: Tickety Toc books to hit the US

Zodiak Kids partners with one of US' biggest publishing houses for new pre-school titles.

Zodiak Kids has partnered with Scholastic to produce a range of published books for its popular pre-school show Tickety Toc.

The range based on the kids' show aired on Nick Jr in the US and Disney Junior in Canada, will include storybooks, board books and story-based sticker books along with novelty and e-books.

The full range will be available in in the US and Canada across all channels of distribution launching in spring 2014.

Gayley Avery, director of licensed publishing, Scholastic trade, said: "We are thrilled by the opportunity to create a fun and unique publishing programme around the rich world of Tickety Toc and its endearing characters."

VP of licensing, The Americas, Zodiak Rights, Janice Lam, added: "There are very exciting times ahead for Tickety Toc and we are delighted to be partnering with Scholastic, a leading publisher with a long and successful track-record in the industry."

Tickety Toc consumer products will launch in North America in autumn this year led by Just Play and Anchor Bay Entertainment.

The show debuted on Nick Jr in October 2012 and currently airs seven days a week, enjoying the success of being the number one pre-school show in its time period.
