Rainbow Productions is set for another busy Bank Holiday weekend, with the firm supplying costume characters for a number of personal appearances across the three days.

Events featuring Rainbow characters are due to take place across the UK between May 29th and 31st - both on behalf of the property owners and arranged directly by shopping centres, leisure attractions, museums and railways.

Further afield, the weekend will also see Hit Entertainment's Pingu visiting Romania for two days for a JimJam TV channel event.

Character appearances at UK venues include the company teaming up with Hit to take two properties, Fireman Sam and Bob the Builder, to retailer Smyths Toys in Beckton, Mitcham and Thanet.

In addition to 'meet and greet' appearances, an interactive Angelina Ballerina Workshop (pictured) will take place at The Spires shopping centre in Barnet, and a Bob the Builder show called Never Mind the Breezeblocks Live will be hosted by The Flambards Experience in Cornwall. Both of these events will take place on Bank Holiday Monday.

E1's Peppa Pig is scheduled to visit shopping centres including Surrey Quays, The Meads in Farnborough and St Catherine's Walk in Carmarthen. The character will also be at events taking place in Kent's Bewl Water and Towcester Racecourse.

In addition, Roary the Racing Car and Big Chris will be appearing on Sunday 30th during Motorsport at the Palace, in Chapman's official Roary Zone. The characters will also be at Haynes Motor Museum in Yeovil on Bank Holiday Monday.

Fifi and Bumble, Postman Pat and Jess the Cat, Paddington Bear, Four Arms from Ben 10 and Humungousaur from Alien Force will also be out and about, while RFU official mascots Brick, Earl and Rocket will be supporting England at Twickenham on May 30th.
