European family entertainment specialist Rainbow has secured a major new broadcast deal to air Winx Club across Brazil.

Series five and six of the popular animated series will now broadcast on TV Cultura, one of the territory’s leading free to air channels.

The show will now screen everyday on the network through to the end of 2016.

Winx Club follows the adventures of a group of young fairies, combining action and adventure with comedy, appealing to girls aged four to ten and up to teens.

Winx Club currently boasts over 15 million viewers each day through 115 broadcasters globally.

“TV Cultura is a major Brazilian broadcaster so we are obviously delighted they have snapped up Winx Club,” said Andrea Graciotti, head of sales and co-production at Rainbow.

“The series already has a huge following across Brazil and fans will be thrilled to hear this exciting news.”
