Rainbow Studios to launch exclusive Winx Club series on Netflix

Rainbow Studios has expanded its partnership with Netflix to create an exclusive Winx Club spin-off series for the popular streaming site.

Winx Club WOW: World of Winx will be exclusively available in all Netflix territories, including France and Germany, with the first of two seasons launching in early 2016.

The second season will follow in autumn of the same year.

The new series will follow the adventures of the Winx Club girls as they travel the globe searching for talented children in art, sport, music and science as well as outwit and solve a series of mysteries.

Each season will comprise of thirteen 22 minute episodes.

Erik Barmack, vice president of content acquisition at Netflix, added: “Winx Club is already a very successful show on Netflix in all our territories, it’s exciting to be expanding our relationship with such a great European animation studio.

“Rainbow Studios has created a very popular franchise and we are thrilled to become the home of the next generation Winx Club for all of its current and future fans.”
