The book will be designed as if it was a magazine edited by Betty Suarez. It will include colour behind the scenes photos, fashion spreads and faux advertisements. From articles on fashion and style, to the family and office, all will be seen through the lens of the show’s main character, with commentary from the other characters as ‘edit notes’ throughout.
“With five million viewers on average per week across Channel 4 and E4, Ugly Betty was consistently amongst Channel 4’s highest rating shows during its first series,” said licensing director Mary Vacher. “We have no doubt that the second series will delight both existing fans and attract new ones and we are thrilled to be publishing the first and only official tie-in book.”
