Popular pre-school TV show character Rastamouse has made a guest appearance at Parliament.
He entertained kids at the annual Westminster Kids Club Christmas party, held my MP Keith Vaz (pictured) and his co-chairs Graham Brady MP and Caroline Lucas MP.
The event raised money for the World Vision charity, and included children from disadvantaged backgrounds as well those of staff and MPs.
The news comes as Rastamouse brand owner DHX Media says the property is "going from strength to strength this festive season, with momentum continuining into 2013".
DHX has worked with Ty Beanies to create a Rastamouse beanie toy, which is now available in Harrods, Cards Galore and Trocadero. It has also partnered with PMS International to create a range of plush, gift and novelty products for theme parks, holiday parks, arcades, funfairs, service stations and more.
Other Rastamouse consumer products include CDs, DVDs, books, plush toys, pyjamas, iPad/iPhone covers, posters, stickers, hats and more.
This autumn, the brand extended into the food and drinks space via a deal with First Milk for branded kids’ portions of Rastamouse Dairy Maniacs Cheddar Stix.
In addition, new TV episodes have launched on CBeebies, including a special series finale.
