The latest wave of deals will add to the four key partnerships, with pre-school market leaders Fisher-Price, Egmont, 2entertain and BBC Magazines put in place in 2008.
RDF Kids (RDF) has signed deals with Samuel Eden & Son to produce Waybuloo socks, C&M Licensing as the nightwear and underwear licensee and Zap is on board to produce the Waybuloo soft furnishing range.
The firm has also appointed Kinnerton for confectionery, The Creative Cake Company to produce celebration cakes, Spearmark International for melamine and lighting and Martin Yaffe International as partner for wheeled toys, furniture and balls.
Also on board are Portico Designs and Gemma International producing a line of greetings cards and gift wrap and Trademark Collections completing the list of new signings with bags, umbrellas and aprons.
Waybuloo will be coming to CBeebies from May 2009 and Waybuloo Magazine, produced by BBC Magazines, will be the first product to market once the show is on air.
Fisher Price, Egmont and 2entertain will all launch their ranges in autumn/winter 2009. The latest raft of licensees will be rolling out a range of products from spring/summer 2010.
Jane Kennedy, senior UK licensing manager, RDF, said: “There has been a tremendous buzz surrounding Waybuloo and we have been overwhelmed and thrilled by the response from the industry. Waybuloo is a uniquely exciting preschool property and we are delighted to be working with this enormously creative group of licensees.
“Waybuloo offers them a visually stunning platform from which to develop and deliver some exceptional product ranges. With Waybuloo toys, magazines, books and DVDs rolling out from autumn this year we are now looking forward to seeing our new licensees joining them on shelves with their ranges from spring 2010.”
RDF Kids & Family holds worldwide rights in all media in the property and will distribute Waybuloo to the global pre-school market.
