RDF's Banzai heads to MySpace

Global content deal to bring webisodes of format to MySpace TV.

RDF Digital - part of the RDF Media Group - has signed an exclusive global content deal with MySpace to bring webisodes of Banzai to MySpace TV.

The episodes will run for 30 days before becoming available on RDF Digital's online comedy network Comedy Demon and in the US only on YouTube, Hulu, MetaCafe and Dailymotion.

Banzai is a highly stylised faux Japanese game show that involves betting on bizarre and off the wall contests. Celebrity guests on the series have included Angelina Jolie, Kelsey Grammar, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Bull Murray.

It first aired as a half hour programme on E4 in the UK and was later repeated on Channel 4. In the US, the series has aired on Fox Broadcasting Network USA, Comedy Central and G4.

"There's a lot of buzz about foreign formats this TV season and we're extending that to the internet," said Max Benator, head of digital media for RDF USA. "There's no other web series like Banzai currently online right now - it's a proven show with network level production values."
