Online and viral hit, Simon's Cat is to receive its television debut on CBBC this Bank Holiday.
Simon's Cat Let Me In is a two-minute animated short, written and produced by Simon Tofield. It will premiere on August 30th at 3.45pm on CBBC as part of the My Toons Summer Special, which showcases the eight most popular animations from the CBBC website.
The TV premiere follows the recent YouTube release of the latest animation - The Box - which passed the one million voew mark in just two days. It also received a YouTube Honour for the most viewed video on Friday August 20th.
To date, Simon's Cat has reached 77.4 million total views on YouTube, 16,000 followers on Twitter and over 220,000 fans on Facebook.
On top of this, the first Simon's Cat book entered the UK Bookseller Top 50, Amazon Top 20 and hit Play.com's number one spot for all books. Global book sales to date stand at 400,000 across 23 countries.
RDF Rights was appointed as the UK licensing agent in February by United Agents. To date, it has inked a deal with stationery and greeting card firm Portico.
