Record sales for Rubie's

Batman and other brands help make September the biggest month ever for fancy dress expert.
Publish date:

Dress-up specialist Rubie’s has announced record UK sales for September, thanks to top licensed products.

Last month was the biggest in the company’s history, with Batman, Disney Princess, Marvel Superheroes and Star Wars lines selling strongly.

Rubie’s is now forecasting a record-breaking year, which is set to be the firm’s 15th consecutive year of growth. It has pumped a ‘significant investment’ into Q4 TV advertising and new lines will launch shortly, including Skylanders, WWE and Smurfs.

“2012 got off to a flying start, with blockbuster releases of Spider-Man, The Avengers, Batman: The Dark Knight Rises and Disney’s Brave,” said Chris Isitt, VP for EMEA & Australia.

“We were always forecasting a great September, but we smashed budget and have reported our biggest month in the company’s history. Everybody in the UK business has worked fantastically hard to help achieve this brilliant result.”
