Doc McStuffins has launched with record TV ratings in the UK.
The pre-school show became Disney Junior UK's number one series watched by 3.5 million people in just eight weeks, making it the channel's most successful series premiere.
A second season has been green-lit and will be produced by twice Oscar-nominated studio Brown Bag Films.
Brand new episodes of Doc McStuffins will air from Monday, January 7th to Friday, January 11th at 5pm on Disney Junior UK.
Doc McStuffins follows the story of Doc, a young girl who can talk to toys to make them better.
In the US the series became the number one pre-school launch in cable TV history amongst adults, and the top cable series amongst kids.
Boel Ferguson, VP and GM for Disney Channels and Disney Online in the UK and Ireland, said: "The success of Doc McStuffins both here and the US is testament to the fantastic storytelling and sensitive approach taken to highlighting what can be a daunting experience for our younger viewers when they visit the doctor."
Doc McStuffins toys have also been selling strongly. It became the fastest selling new property at the Disney Store in 2012.
