CBS has picked up the rights to produce a TV show based on popular mobile game Draw Something, according to reports.

The US TV network took part in a bidding war to seal the rights to the gameshow, which is set to air next year, reports Variety

Teams of celebrities and everyday users will go up against one another in front of a studio audience, with the aim of drawing the best picture for a fellow contestant to correctly guess. The show is also said to have cash prizes up for grabs.

The ‘Draw’ show will reportedly be produced by Sony Pictures Television, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Embassy Row.

Draw Something hit the App Store earlier this year and has been downloaded over 50m times. The game’s developer, OMGPOP, was acquired by Zynga for around $200m.
