Roary the Racing Car teams with Aussie GP

Chapman brand to be present at the 2009 Formula 1 ING Australian Grand Prix later this month.

Having got off to a good start ratings wise in Australia, Chapman Entertainment's Roary the Racing Car will be making an appearance at the Australian Grand Prix from March 26th to 29th at Albert Park.

The character will have its own 'Roary Pit Zone' including interactive games, Roary car races, competitions, face painting, treasure hunts, a photo zone with Roary and Big Chris and a number of other activities.

The first 10,000 children will also receive a free Meet Roary DVD upon entry.

A concert will also be performed in the zone on Saturday March 28th at 11.35am, 1.30pm and 3pm.

"The introduction of the Roary Pit Zone to this year's Grand Prix is yet another example of our commitment to broaden the offering and ensure that this great event provides entertainment for everyone - regardless of age," said Drew Ward, CEO of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

Nick Jr will be broadcasting a Roary Marathon on Sunday March 22nd to celebrate the character's appearance at the event. A national TV promotion is also running on the channel until March 7th in association with the Grand Prix, giving families the opportunity to win a holiday to the Grand Prix and VIP tickets to the Roary Pit Zone party.
