Saban Brands expands its legal team

Content distribution and consumer products will be handled by new additions.

Saban Brands has expanded its legal team with the addition of two new vice presidents.

Shannon Smith will focus on the firm's growing entertainment business and will be responsible for negotiating and drafting global multi-platform distribution agreements, as well as content production and marketing-related contracts.

Meanwhile, Tim Quinlan will focus on Saban Brands' global consumer products licensing business, along with brand enforcement and new acquisitions.

Quinlan has been promoted from the role of senior director of business and legal affairs at the firm, while Smith joins from AMC Networks where she worked as senior counsel, responsible for international distribution of content and facilitating international business growth.

"With Saban Brands' rapid worldwide growth, our business and legal affairs needs have greatly increased," said Michael Bayer, head of the business and legal affairs department at Saban Brands."Having seasoned and experienced attorneys such as Tim and now Shannon will help support the company and our partners as we continue to expand our global footprint and distribution outlets."
