Disney Interactive and Sega have teamed up to recreate the Castle of Illusion Featuring Mickey Mouse video game.

The title will be available to download this summer on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

It's a re-imagining of the iconic Mega Drive/Genesis adventure game first released in 1990. The new version, completely rebuilt from the ground up, is being developed by Sega Studios Australia.

Fans will be able to enjoy the original storyline as they help Mickey save Minnie from the evil witch Mizrabel.

“The original Castle of Illusion was tremendously entertaining and has a well-deserved reputation as a Sega classic, said Chris Olson, VP of Digital Business at Sega of America.

"Castle of Illusion Featuring Mickey Mousebrings this great game to a new generation. Mickey is back and he looks fantastic."
