Sharpe Company to represent Monty Python in US

Firm to work with Bliss House on marketing the rights to the classic brand.

The Sharpe Company is to represent classic brand Monty Python in North America.

The British comedy show was first broadcast in the US in 1974, with 45 episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus airing on PBS. Five movies were also released theatrically - including Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian - while there have also been albums, books and a stage musical.

A licensing programme is already under way and Sharpe is seeking partners for all categories.
