IP agency The Sharpe Company has been appointed by Norton Global Brands to source and manage licensing deals for the Norton Motorcycles brand throughout the US.

The appointment of the firm is another step forward in the regeneration of the brand as a major global licensing property. Discussions with other international agents are underway in key markets.

"We're delighted to bring The Sharpe Company on board to represent Norton's licensing interests throughout the United States," commented Tony Norton, chairman of Norton Global Brands.

"Their understanding of the quality which is innate to Norton Motorcycles' philosophy and how this can be applied successfully to the American market, combined with the huge consumer interest in the brand heritage and style, unlocks enormous potential for a wide variety of licensing opportunities across multiple product sectors."

Norton Global Brands has already finalised deals with two major fashion companies to launch ranges of leather and textile apparel across Europe. Negotiations with a number of companies to secure international licensing deals are currently underway.
