Shopping4Fans rolls out first internet shopping club for licensed product

New e-commerce revenue stream for licensing sector due to launch from December.

The world's first membership-based internet shopping club for licensed merchandise is due to launch in December.

Shopping4Fans will be selling officially licensed merchandise to fans at reduced prices. Its first shopping event will take place in December and will feature exclusive product from London 2012.

"Existing fashion-focused internet shopping clubs such as vente-privee already represent around 20 per cent of global sales for the fashion industry, so the potential for is huge," said Patrick Ashworth, CEO of Shopping4Fans.

"Our new site will be the world's first to focus on exclusive officially licensed merchandise and sought-after products at highly reduced prices, while providing licensors and licensees a global, controllable distribution channel maintaining their brand equity."

Members will register and sign into the site to gain access to the exclusive Shopping4Fans limited-in-time shopping events, selling restricted quantities of stock.

Ashworth added: "We are open for business with all licensors, licensing agencies and licensees to drive product sales to a selective audience through a unique internet shopping club."

Shopping4Fans will be exhibiting at Brand Licensing Europe this week on stand G090.
