Footwear brand Skechers is to create a line of sunglasses and prescription eyewear following a new deal with Viva International Group.
Due to debut in spring 2010, the eyewear collection will feature styles for men, women and kids and will include the brand's name and its trademark 'S' logo.
"Skechers has grown to become one of the world's top footwear brands," said Michael Greenberg, the firm's president. "In the last few years, we broadened the reach and offering of our brand with accessories and apparel. By adding eyewear to our product offering, Skechers will be meeting the needs of our consumers from head to toe."
Mitchell Lewis, senior VP of licensing for Skechers, added: "With a stellar reputation and strong global network, Viva is an ideal company to design and distribute our eyewear around the world."
