BBC Worldwide has revealed the start of its licensing programme for the popular Something Special pre-school show, and its star Mr Tumble.

Golden Bear is the master toy licensee and will be developing a range of products for launch in autumn/winter 2012. Highlights of the line will include a Mr Tumble tea set, an interactive toy telephone and Mr Tumble soft toys.

Jumbo Games will produce four shaped puzzles in a box for launch in September, with a puzzle assortment, memo and floor game planned for release next year.

Portico has already rolled out its Something Special card range and will follow this up with a calendar.

Celebration cakes are in development with the Mc Cambridge Group, while Trade Mark will be producing a Mr Tumble spotty bag.

"We're delighted to bring this fantastically successful pre-school programme to the licensing community," said Richard Hollis, head of UK licensing at BBC Worldwide. "We are very happy to be working with partners to enhance all childrens' enjoyment of the show, regardless of ability, through imaginative play, communication and fun.

"We really look forward to working with many more licensees with a programme that we believe has a lot of creative potential."
