Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is heading to the International Licensing Expo with new licensing developments for its popular PlayStation property, Invizimals.

Two new computer games are set to launch this October with Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom on Playstation 3 and Invizimals: The Alliance on Playstation Vita.

And the success of the brand - comprised of characters made from energy - has seen Panini extend its trading card deal in Spain across Europe.

Furthermore, the global master toy rights have also been awarded and will be unveiled before Brand Licensing Europe 2013.

David Evans, European Licensing Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, said: "The popularity of the games and the innovative use of technology has created unprecedented demand for new Invizimals content and official merchandise.

"Licensees and retailers are looking for the next licensing phenomenon for boys and Invizimals is poised to make a massive impact in this highly lucrative commercial space."

In September 2012 it was unveiled that the brand will feature in the world's first augmented reality cartoon series.

The series has been developed by BRB Internacional and was announced at Mip Jr last year.

Evans added: "Invizimals is emerging as our hero consumer products programme for boys. By the end of the year, the franchise will boast five video games, the first augmented reality cartoon series and a burgeoning licensing programme including a global toy master toy partner and an established trading card craze.

"The industry is ready for the next big boys brand and as the popularity of gaming properties continues to rise, there has never been a better time for licensees to join the hunt."

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe can be found at the Las Vegas Licensing Show at Stand C161.
