Sony/ATV has signed up the global music rights for Platinum Films' Matt Hatter Chronicles.

The soundtrack to the animated adventure series is composed by Youki Yamamoto, who has worked on numerous films including the likes of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Nanny McPhee.

"We're extremely pleased to be working with Nigel Stone and the team at Platinum Films, and on such a strong property as Matt Hatter whose global resonance continues to grow," said Howard Price, director, broadcast and media rights at Sony/ATV Music.

"Youki Yamamoto's music is known by fans of Matt Hatter around the world and we will be working with Platinum Films to fully realise the licensing opportunities the music presents."

Nigel Stone, CEO at Platinum Films, added: "Music is an essential storytelling tool and Youki has created a memorable score that helps define the show. We are very excited about launching an international music publishing programme that will offer yet another touch point for Hatter fans to engage with the series."
