Last week's Southern Light Fund Quiz Night raised over £13,000 for charity, with 300 execs from across the industry packing into Chelsea FC.
The impressive figure was reached in part thanks to generous contributions from the evening's sponsors including Rainbow Productions, The Licensing Source Book, Allsorts Media, Caroline Mickler Limited, Rubie's Masquerade, Dreamworks, Ryker Sear and Start Licensing.
Attendees also boosted the fundraising total by buying raffle tickets to win a host of prizes donated by companies from across the industry. In addition, Chelsea FC donated a signed Chelsea football shirt which was auctioned on the night, with the winning bid of £500 belonging to Kirsty Barr from miPR.
After several competitive rounds, the team from Fluid World emerged as narrow winners and were crowned champions.
The honour of donning the now infamous Big Pants went to the team from Cartoon Network (pictured below).
"Yet again the licensing industry has shown its generosity and willingness to be involved in The Light Fund, which helps a lot of good causes each year," said Trevor Jones, chairman of The Light Fund and co-host of the quiz.
"We have raised over £700,000 since the Fund's inception a decade ago and now have our sights set on the £1 million mark. We would like to thank all the attendees at the quiz, the sponsors and the helpers who made the event such a success.
"We must give a special thank you to Chelsea Football Club who hosted the event again this year."
The date for The Light Fund Golf Day was also announced on the night, and will take place on May 7th, 2015. Tickets and further information can be obtained from Patrick Bailey at Blues by clicking here.
