John Hornby Skewes is celebrating further success with its Spongebob Squarepants real musical instruments range - having picked up the Rob Williams Business Enterprise accolade at the Music Industries Association Music Awards 2010.
The line - which launched in 2008 and now covers 40 SKUs - has enjoyed strong sales in the UK and Ireland, plus Europe, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. It continues to be featured in on-air promotion content on Nickelodeon, as well as on marketing activity.
The most recent addition to the collection is an automatic clip tuner, which joins the likes of ukes, acoustic and electric guitars, plectrums, drum kits and percussion kits.
"We're extremely pleased that the Spongebob Squarepants Real Musical Instrument range continues to be recognised for its unique and innovative design," said Ashley Holman, senior licensing manager at NCP UK. "The ongoing addition of new items to the range is a clear indication of the success of the partnership between Nickelodeon and JHS and we look forward to further developing this truly fantastic range of products."
