Nickelodeon Consumer Products UK is launching an exclusive line of Spongebob Squarepants clothing, in a new tie up with Savile Row tailor Richard James.

The range, which launches on Wednesday May 11th, comprises a signature yellow suit, shirts, ties and pocket squares, which feature iconography and colours from the Nickelodeon animation.

Each item will be individually numbered, while the signature suit is made to order.

The collection is the result of the first collaboration with a licensee to work across the new Spongebob by Spongebon range - a brand extension aimed at the high-end fashion sector.

"This is truly a unique collaboration which sees Spongebob propelled into the very high-end of men's fashion, cementing his style credentials," said Mark Kingston, VP, European licensing, retail sales and trade marketing for NCP. "The creation of the Spongebob by Spongebob brand extension and this top-end range by Richard James is testament to Spongebob's broad appeal, which has taken him into the high profile fashion sector."

Richard James added: "Richard James has always pushed the boundaries when it comes to using colour in menswear design, and Spongebob's vibrant personality suits us well."
