SpongeBob will take to the UK stage for the first time ever. The characters from the TV series will go on tour across the UK in a live action show.
The musical will premiere at the Hackney Empire on February 3rd 2009 and tour the UK, taking in major cities and theatres from Brighton to Glasgow.
The show is based on an episode from the TV series entitled The Lost Episode/ The Sponge Who Could Fly and is aimed at all ages.
The musical is recreated by Fiery Angel, the team behind the current touring musical Lazyown Live! It is written by Steven Baks, head writer and story editor of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants.
Original songs and adaptations from composer and lyricist, Eban Schletter, who has written music for film and television including the SpongeBob series.
