Sparky Animation has appointed Square Licensing to handle the Fleabag Monkeyface brand in the UK.

The series is based on the books by British writing duo Knife & Packer and published by Walker Books. It is aimed at children aged between seven and 12.

Fleabag Monkeyface is currently airing on CITV on weekday afternoons.

"We are delighted to represent Fleabag Monkeyface at a time when its transition from publishing to broadcast is most likely to create maximum opportunities for licensing partners and retailers," said Armelle Madelin, director at Square Licensing.

KC Wong, CEO of Sparky Animation, added: "This is our first UK agency appointment for Fleabag Monkeyface and this being a UK origin animation, it is most crucial that we partner the correct agent in the UK to lead the consumer products licensing. We are thrilled to be working with Square Licensing."
