Star Wars: The Force Awakens tops box office for third week in a row as it heads to £100m in the UK

The Force Awakens is now the second biggest film of all time in the UK, just behind Skyfall.

Disney's Star Wars: The Force Awakens has topped the UK box office for the third week in a row.

The film made another £10.2m in its third weekend to bring its current UK tally to £97.25m after just 18 days. 

Screen reports that The Force Awakens is now the second biggest film of all time in the UK, just behind Skyfall’s £103.2m run.

Across the pond, The Force Awakens has set a raft of records including biggest Disney release of all time in North America, biggest North American opening weekend as well as the fastest film to cross the $650m mark.
