Street Fighter Monopoly goes on sale in the US

Capcom and USAopoly launch special version of Hasbro classic based on the video game.

A Street Fighter branded version of classic board game Monopoly has gone on sale on Amazon.

But it will not be coming to the UK.

Monopoly: Street Fighter Collector’s Edition has been produced by USAopoly. It’s licensed by video game publisher Capcom, as well as toy giant Hasbro.

It features new custom artwork, six tokens based on Street Fighter characters – like Chun-Li, Ryu and Blanka – 22 ‘fighting arenas’ and a 60-minute speed play option.

Players can improve their properties by purchasing Training Rooms and Dojos, while Community Chest and Chance Cards have become Bonus Stage and Random Select Cards respectively.

The game is available to order from Amazon in the US, with an RRP of $39.99. 

UPDATE:Street Fighter Monopoly will not be available in the UK.

A USAopoly statement sent to Licensing.biz read: "Unfortunately, due to licensing agreement restrictions, we are only allowed to sell our games in the US/Canada."
