A total of 594 participants, representing 304 companies from 46 countries worldwide, attended this week's SportelAsia in Shanghai.
Held at the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, the event ran for three days and represented all aspects of international sports television and sports content, including broadcasters, broadband and mobile companies, professional leagues, program distributors, sports marketing agents, sponsorship and investment groups, plus new media.

Sportel's next event is Sportel Monaco 2008, which will take place on October 20th to 23rd at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Last year, this was the largest Sportel event ever held, with a total of 2,362 participants, representing a record 975 companies from 79 countries worldwide.
