UK digital broadcaster CSC Media has reported that its kids gaming website poppower.com is off to a flying start, garnering 120,000 unique hits in its launch month.
Poppower – produced by CSC subsidiary Aqua Moon Games - has hundreds of different games on offer to its 250,000 registered members, and offers kids the chance to create their own avatars.
The CSC portfolio includes the TV channels: POP, Tiny Pop, Pop Girl and Kix, as well as +1 services. Between its six channels says CSC achieves nearly 5 million viewers each month in the UK. Each channel has its own website which have, together with poppower.com, attracted a combined total of 500,000 unique visitors in the past month.
CSC Media has plans to roll out a series of kids mobile, social and subscription games with Aqua Moon Games.
Kate Garland, online manager at CSC Media said: “Poppower.com is the perfect addition to our kids TV and online portfolio as we look to take a more integrated, cross-platform approach to our content.
“Through our hugely successful kids TV channels, we already have access to almost a quarter of the nation’s children, but with PopPower and our other online products, we’re building a massive community to increase that share and allow our members to engage with us, our content and each other through a number of different platforms.”
Garland continued: “Games have always been the most engaging elements on our kids’ websites and our partnership with Aqua Moon Games will enable us to share and promote games between kid’s sites and TV channels in a much more targeted way and introduce further interactive features like never before.”
The company also said it will produce a selection of games targeted at its 16-24 year old music audience and older True Channels audience.
