A range of jewllery and novelty items inspired by the Marvel super heros is hitting retail in the US, after the firm struck a deal with JewelM.

Launching from spring 2012, the product line will include designs featuring super heros such as Spider-man, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man.

Items will include body jewellery, belt buckles, cufflinks, pendants, bracelets, earrings and rings.

"Building upon an incredibly successful relationship within the costume jewllery industry for over 40 years, we are excited to launch a great new line of merchandise and to be bringing the Marvel brand to another audience and product segment," said Mel Bernie, president and CEO of the 1928 Jewelry Company. "We believe the market is ready for adventurous and trend right items for the super hero consumer."
