2014 dates have been confirmed for the art and design licensing show, Surtex.
The three-day event will return to the Jacob K Javits Convention Center in New York from May 18-20th, 2014, with a bigger footprint to accommodate the anticipated increase in participants from around the world.
Positioned on the main level of the Javits, Surtex will be made up of some 325 exhibiting artists, designers, studios, agencies and design resources - representing ten per cent growth.
Anticipated attendance will exceed 6,000 art buyers and licensees from more than 50 countries.
The show will be split into three main areas. Introduced last year, the Atelier will bring nearly 100 of the world's top textile studios and designers to the forefront, all of which sell their collections outright to a range of industries. In addition, over 200 exhibitors will be offering artwork and unique brands for licence, while Resource Hub will present a plethora of design and business tools for both exhibitors and attendees.
"Art buyers and licensees rely on Surtex to source the latest trend-forward collections to ensure successful sales of their products," said GLM VP and Surtex show manager, Penny Sikalis. "And as added value, the show offers more than just exhibit space - it serves as a complete marketplace with valuable events and resources designed for both the exhibitor and attendee."
On-site activities will include a conference programme of ten to 12 sessions, a Trend Theatre, social networking events and the Designext student competition displays.
A marketing campaign is also due to kick off shortly.
